Dbaccess

Introduction

DB–Access utility provides a user interface and is used to access, modify, and retrieve information from Informix database servers.

Starting dbaccess

dbaccess is located in /usr/informix/bin/. This path should be included in the $PATH variable.
In a UNIX/LINUX environment, the database server must have the appropriate terminal set up from among those listed in the INFORMIXTERM environment variable.
If the TERM, TERMCAP, or TERMINFO environment variables do not enable DB–Access to recognize the type of terminal you use, the main menu does not appear.
